Key Features
- As part of our ongoing works with BT we were contracted to carry out office remodelling works on the 9th floor of the BT Centre in London
- The objective was to create new directors offices in the previously open plan space
- We had previous experience of carrying out office remodelling works on this site, however on this occasion we were also had responsibility for design under the contract terms
- Our design team liaised extensively with BT in order to agree a design that was practicable, within budget, and met the needs of the office users
- Once the design was agreed we progressed with the required partition works followed by M&E and fire protection
- Decorations were carried out along with some high end items including French polishing
- We also installed new data and television connections to the new offices
Challenges and Solutions
- As we had design liability this project involved close coordination between Etec’s design, commercial, and site teams
- Specialist trades were sourced as required in order to carry out the M&E works and fire protection installations
- We also made use of a French polisher we have previous experience working with on some of our high end residential refurbishment schemes
- This gave us confidence that we would be able to achieve BT’s expectations
